About Liza Rosenberg

I am a writer. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to be (aside from flitting with the notions at age 8 of becoming either a professional baseball player or an Olympic gymnast, neither of which came to pass…). Technical writing pays the bills, but it’s the creative writing that really makes my socks roll up and down. Words excite me and brilliant writing inspires me. Sadly, technical writing neither excites me nor inspires me. It does, however, pay for the good coffee…

I am a mother. Motherhood is like the Peace Corps – it’s the toughest job you’ll ever love. While the Little One brings great joy and is a constant source of entertainment, I’d be lying if I didn’t say that there were moments when I’d like to run away. I wouldn’t trade the Little One for anything…

I live in Israel. Need I say more?

About something something

In the late spring of 2005, good friend Anglosaxy worked hard at convincing me to join him in a new blogging venture. He quickly wore me down (that British accent gets me every time…), and after a great deal fair amount of brainstorming, something something went live on June 14th. Since that fateful day, something something has undergone a number of transformations, as Anglosaxy took his leave and I turned the blog into my own personal space, changing the look and style and writing about any subject that either made my socks roll up and down or got my knickers in a twist.

Fast forward to January 1st, 2008, and yet another transformation has taken place, as something something migrated to a different blogging platform and emerged with a whole new look. Tired of the old look and not feeling terribly excited with the way things were going, a chance encounter with a fellow blogger set the wheels in motion, with the result being the blog you see before you. I’m excited about the sleek, sexy new look, and see it as a sign that things are changing around here for the better.

Content runs the gamut, attracting a wide range of readers from around the world. You can find everything from political rants to mommy blogging, and while I’m not sure what my writing future holds, I can promise you this – it’s going to be something something…

  4. It is rather rewarding to read your elaborate language. Though I am not a native speaker, work in the Seamen´s Mission furthered my grasp, I think, and so I can tell hot ashes from trees. I do not know how exactly I reached your blog, but since I am here and my name and adress have even preceded me in some miraculous electronic way I want to send my kindest regards, especially to the little one. A happy New Year to you and your family!
